A practical, accessible workshop in nervous system regulation.
Most of us move through the day without really understanding whatβs happening in our bodies. We just know when we feel wired, overwhelmed, stuck in our thoughts, or at times flat and low in energy.
This workshop is an introduction to your nervous system, and how it shapes the way you feel, think and respond to the world around you.
This workshop may be particularly helpful if you:
often feel wired, overwhelmed or βon edgeβ
find it difficult to switch off or get stuck in overthinking
notice periods of low energy, flatness or disconnection
want to understand your body better and feel more in control of how you respond to stress
Weβll explore the basics of stress and regulation, including polyvagal theory, before turning the focus inwards to help you recognise your own patterns and the subtle signs of different states in your body.
Alongside this, youβll be introduced to a range of practical tools which will be woven throughout the session, including breathwork, simple body-based practices, posture resets and ways of working with your environment.
The aim isnβt to give you a long list of things to do, but to help you build your own personalised toolkit - something that feels relevant, accessible and sustainable in your day-to-day life.
There will be space to reflect, share (as much or as little as you like), and ask questions throughout.
By the end of the workshop, youβll have a clearer understanding of how your nervous system works, and practical ways to support yourself towards more balance, energy and ease.
No prior knowledge or experience is needed.
Early booking rate Β£40 available for the first few spaces, after which tickets will be Β£47.

Opening session: Breath, the nervous system & mobility
A practical session exploring how breath and the nervous system influence mobility, movement, and performance.
We explored how the body responds to tension and safety and how simple shifts in breath and awareness can change what feels available in the moment.
Participants were guided through accessible practices to experience this directly, leaving with simple tools they could take into their own training.
βThe simple tool of softening into the breath and changing my mindset made a huge difference. I took it straight into my yoga classes and it massively helped.β - Kirsty

Lifestyle Medicine in Environmentally Sustainable Primary Care
I had the privilege of contributing a chapter on lifestyle medicine to the recently published book Environmentally Sustainable Primary Care, authored by Dr Matthew Sawyer and Mike Tomson. This book explores how greener healthcare practices can benefit both people and the planet.
